What’s a vegan blog without restaurant reviews right? Yeah I know. So here’s the first one:

Went to Nuba (3rd ave at Main st.) for a fellow vegan’s birthday a few nights ago and I gotta say, for it not being a veg restaurant it has a load of vegan friendly options! The menu made it nice and easy for us to order. They had either (v) or (vgn) labels on the specific items and the waitress was real helpful in suggesting what could be made cruelty free.

It was a small space so room for a larger party was hard to come by–30mins wait time hard. And they didn’t do reservations. But if it’s just you and the old +1, it should be no problem getting a table right away.

So back to the food. It’s Lebanese and it’s pretty good. A lot of simple, non-heavy, home cooked-feeling food. Can’t say it was my absolute fav forever, but I’d definitely go back with some chums. Oh and the washroom was clean and non-stinky.

Service: 4/5
Prices: 3.5/5
Ambience : 3.5/5
Food: 3.5/5
Jon?: 3/5

Over all I’d give it 3.75 squished faces out of 5.
